Mealie-meal is a relatively coarse flour (much coarser than cornflour or cornstarch) made from maize which is known as mielies or mealies in southern Africa. Popular with South African Braai's. Some would say that this is best served with a bit of butter and golden syrup/sugar , but for a savoury option our Miami Boerie relish is a must try with it.
